Pure Ocean’s main mission is to support state-of-the-art applied research projects to conserve marine biodiversity, protect and restore fragile marine ecosystems and increase knowledge of the oceans and contribute to the fight against climate change. Projects are selected by our Scientific Committee made up of leading international experts on these subjects.
Pure Ocean wants to go further:
Promoting exchanges between industry players, scientific experts, researchers and defenders of the ocean, by making mutual projects possible. This takes the form of a “Pure Ocean Summit” including conferences and workshops. The second edition will take place during Seafood Expo Global in Brussels on May 9th, 2019.
Raising awareness of companies that engage with us, their internal audiences, as well as the general public, by actions intended to alert on threatened ecosystems, highlighting solutions to protect them. The first initiative will be an extreme triathlon between London and Paris – a feat that Brice Bonneviale, a confirmed and committed athlete, is about to take up. This is the first in a series of events dubbed “Race for Pure Ocean”.
