After a crossing of 7 days 17 hours 4 minutes 43 seconds, our crew arrived today in Lorient.
Tired but happy to have lived this adventure on board Jean-Pierre Dick’s JP54, our sailors are celebrating this new record, which beats the famous time of Eric Tabarly and the others recorded since the first edition in 2020.
During this extraordinary crossing, they contributed to the preservation of the ocean by helping science. In particular, they dropped drifters which will be used to collect a lot of scientific data to find out more about the ocean and particularly the currents.
Congratulations and thanks to them!
Has this epic journey made you dream? Do you also want to accomplish this mythical crossing and commit yourself to the Ocean? See you next year for a new Pure Ocean Challenge even richer in emotion.
