A committed duo: Thomas De Dinechin and Aglaé Ribon to cross the Atlantic in Pure Ocean's colors
This Sunday 20 April at 13h02, our ambassador Thomas de Dinechin will be setting off on the Transat Paprec alongside the fabulous Aglaé Ribon! On the programme? 3,890 nautical miles between Concarneau and Saint-Barthélemy.
👉 A unique race… and now 100% double-handed!
🧭 Aglaé Ribon, 27, almost grew up on a sailboat. From Laser to Mini 6.50, via Virtual Regatta, she has never stopped sailing. With her brother, they founded the family stable with a novel format, where everyone takes over: in 2023, she will take part in her first Mini-Transat transatlantic race, and in 2025 it will be her brother Blaise Ribon’s turn.
✨ Thomas joined the family of Pure Ocean ambassadors at the beginning of 2025. An engineer and logistics consultant by training, with a passion for ocean racing, he sails between the office and competitions. After a Mini-Transat in 2021, Thomas is continuing on the Figaro professional circuit. In 2025, accompanied by his partner Almond, he will string together two major races: the Transat Paprec in April, then the Solitaire du figaro in September.
🌱 Proud to represent the colours of Pure Ocean, Aglaé and Thomas carry a strong message: to raise awareness of ocean conservation and support research and innovation projects to protect this vital ecosystem.
“I spend more than a third of the year at sea. The ocean is my playground, but it’s also a precious asset that needs to be preserved.” – Thomas
🌍 Thank you Aglaé and Thomas for promoting our values on the open seas. Godspeed to you both! The whole Pure Ocean team is behind you
