Bermudes Lorient - Défi Pure Ocean 2023

Le Défi Pure Ocean revient en mai 2023 pour sa 4^ème édition et se déroulera entre les Bermudes et Lorient. Cette année, 3 bateaux se lanceront début mai :

Jean-Pierre Dick sur son « JP54 Notre Méditerranée, Ville de Nice »
Vincent Willemart sur son TS42 « Banzai »
Jacques Valente sur son trimaran 42ft « Be Creative »

BERMUDES LORIENT – DÉFI PURE OCEAN, proposé par PURE OCEAN, ABSOLUTE DREAMER et ADVANCED TRACKING est un défi à la voile à travers l’Atlantique, ouvert à tout type de voilier, avec plusieurs objectifs :

battre les temps de référence,
sensibiliser le grand public sur l’océan et la nécessité de le protéger,
collecter des données utiles aux études scientifiques pour la protection de l’océan,
lever des fonds pour la recherche océanique.

Afin de permettre à chacun de s’engager pour la préservation de l’océan, des cagnottes au profit de la recherche océanique ont été mise en ligne.

RECORD BATTU !!

Jean-Pierre Dick et son équipage remportent cette transatlantique en monocoque sur le « JP54 Notre Méditerranée Ville de Nice » avec un temps record de 11 jours 8 heures 38 minutes et 23 secondes battant le temps de référence de 12 jours 23 heures et 28 minutes établi en 1979 pour les monocoques.

Côté multicoques, Vincent Willemart et son équipage remportent cette transatlantique sur le « Banzaï » avec un temps record de 11 jours 13 heures 53 minutes et 8 secondes ! Le temps de traversée précédent de 12 jours 23 heures et 16 minutes avait été fixé il y a 40 ans par Eugène Riguidel et Jean-François le Menec.
