The participants were <\/span><b>Thomas de Williencourt<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, director of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pure Ocean<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Philippe Cury<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, oceanographer from the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IRD<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Alexia Tye <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Albert 1<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">st <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Monaco Foundation <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>St\u00e9phanie Bouziges-Eschmann <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from the FFEM (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">French Facility for Global Environment<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A collective exposition of the <\/span><b>One planet fellowship <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">program, animated by <\/span><b>Jean-Jacques Goron<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, chief executive of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BNP Paribas Foundation<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with <\/span><b>Emilie Chen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">African Women in Agricultural Research and Development <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Olivier Oliveros <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agropolis Foundation.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Testimonies from <\/span><b>Elisabeth Barbier<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, delegate chief executive of the IRD, <\/span><b>Beno\u00eet M\u00e9ribel <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from the CFF (French Foundations Center), and an admirable conclusion by <\/span><b>Patricia Ricard<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, from the Paul Ricard Oceanic Institute, on philanthropic and scientific involvement for common good; a message of hope and a powerful call for action!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Today, only 7% of philanthropic funds are dedicated to the environment. This is not enough faced with the utter emergency of climate change and biodiversity preservation.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Now is time for a general mobilization \u2013 we have to support research.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Innovation is key in protecting the living.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This <\/span><b>3<\/b><b>rd <\/b><b>Meeting around science, development and philanthropy <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was organized by the IRD and the CFF, with support of the BNP Paribas Foundation and the Agropolis
